Hiking
In the Pinzgau mountains
Whether it's a challenging high-alpine tour, a relaxed alpine hike or an exciting stroll in a wide valley basin - the excellently developed hiking network in the region, invites you to pack your rucksack, lace up your hiking boots and get going! Many of the beautiful hiking trails start right in front of our hotel door. Discover the diverse nature on a hike in Maishofen and Saalbach-Hinterglemm - you will be delighted!
The Natural Adventure Trail Käfertal is especially suited to families. After all, even “little feet” want to go hiking, however, one or two adventures should be included along the way, to ensure there's no chance of boredom. To prevent this from happening, you can not only go to various discovery stations along the 4 km long trail, but also head past aquatic playground, climbing walls and a marmot play area. The not very steep path starts at the Tauernhaus Ferleiten and can be easily done with a stroller. If you would like to hike an extra 2km on this trail, you will reach our Stiegeralm, which is not yet serviced.
If you are interested in getting to know the stories of the local artist an painter Anton Faistauer, his life and his career, and would like to combine this with a hike, then we recommend, as mentioned earlier, the approx. 8 km long “Anton Faistauer” hike in Maishofen.
On every summit victory, you are “one step closer to heaven”. This feeling can be experienced by very fit hikers and those wanting to test their limits seven times. “The 7 summits in Saalbach” is the ideal challenge for all mountain fans on their hiking holiday in the Salzburger Land. 7 summits, approx. 9 hours of walking time, 24 kilometres and 1,412 metres of altitude.
